Infant and Toddler Learning and Activity Programs

Mary’s Little Lambs Preschool strives to be a well-rounded facility with the vision of letting children grow as holistically as possible. We focus on teaching not just informational input but also hands-on activities for children to properly associate their cognitive learning with their psychomotor development.

We currently use two curricula, Adventures in Learning and Adventures for Toddlers, a comprehensive curriculum developed through a grant from the Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Development in Arkansas.

Our curriculum will include but not limited to:

  • Lamb-Logo

Language & Literacy: Here, we foster the development of children by encouraging them to learn new words every day. We will teach them letter recognition and letter sounds to set the foundation for reading & writing readiness through daily conversations, music, story time & more!

  • Lamb-Logo

Math: Little ones will learn how to count their one-two-three’s; do crude measurements using a variety of materials; recognize and create patterns; appreciate and use symbols and numbers through hands-on activities!

Development Assessment Tool:  In addition to the curriculum, we use a valid and reliable assessment tool called the Arkansas Child Development & Early Learning Standards Development Rating Scale.  There are two scales used, one with infants & toddlers in mind.  Both documents include a wide range of developments to capture both advancements and delays in observable skills & behaviors.

Conferences:  Parent-Teacher Partnership Conferences are held twice a year in all ages of our facility.  Additionally, conferences may be scheduled any time throughout the year for your convenience!

Creative Arts and Crafts: This is probably the biggest highlight of any preschool facility! We always enjoy letting children discover their very own potentials by letting them create their own pieces of art. There is no limit to what a child’s imagination can do, and we encourage all these thoughts to be manifested through the art and crafts they create! Busy fingers make the brain work all the time.

Our activities are patterned using the latest in early childhood education researches. They are delivered to the children by our trained, qualified team members who are compassionate and naturally concerned about your child’s emotional, social, and even spiritual well-being.
